Terms & Conditions

General Terms and Conditions of Hire

* The hirer of the vehicle shall be responsible for the conduct of all passengers. We reserve the right to invoice or make a charge to the hirers credit/debit card for any losses, repairs, replacements, or valeting costs resulting from damage or fouling to the vehicle or its fixtures caused by the hirer or passengers.

* It is important that all passengers are ready to board the vehicle at the agreed meeting time to enable the driver to meet his obligation for appointments with other scheduled customers

* The vehicle will only be able to wait for all passengers to board a maximum of 10-minutes after the agreed meeting time. If passengers fail to board the vehicle within 10 minutes of the meeting time the driver may terminate the booking and the vehicle will depart for the next scheduled commitment

* Unscheduled variations to the agreed times and or itinerary may incur additional costs. We reserve the right to invoice or charge to the hirers' credit/debit card the additional costs incurred due to variations to the original schedule

* The driver may refuse to transport passengers and or luggage if the vehicle becomes overloaded. The booking may be terminated if the hirer or any passengers cause excessive delays, are profoundly under the influence of alcohol or drugs, are disorderly or, in the drivers judgement, are unfit to travel

* Fouling/Vomiting Charge £50 Minimum

* All passengers are required by law to wear the seat belts provided in the vehicle

* Absolutely no bottles, cups or drinking glasses are to be carried into the passenger compartment of the vehicle

* It is not permitted to carry or consume food or drink in the passenger compartment of the vehicle

* Smoking is not allowed in the vehicle

* The vehicle may be equipped with CCTV surveillance security cameras and recording device

* Violence, Foul Language, Intimidation, Antagonism, or any other form of Anti-social behaviour towards the driver or any member of staff of this Company will not be tolerated, and may result in the termination of hire and or Police involvement. Termination of hire cause by Anti-Social behaviour will render the hirer liable for the full hire charge. Acts of Vandalism or Malicious Damage to the vehicle will be prosecuted

* Whilst every effort will be made to arrive at the customer's address or destination punctually the Company shall not be liable for late arrival or cancellation due to circumstances beyond its control. In the event of unforeseen delays the Company will endeavour to contact the hirer by telephone. It shall be the Hirer's responsibility to allow adequate time to reach their destination. We strongly recommend that Travel Insurance be taken out where appropriate

*Animals may be carried in customers specialist pet carriers that provide protection to the vehicle @ £2 per animal (Excluding Guide, Hearing Dogs and other Assistance Dogs, which are carried Free of Charge).

* It is the passengers' responsibility to check the information we have been given, and which we have confirmed back in the booking confirmation, is correct; there will be a full charge if a transfer fails because we have attended as per the information supplied and this proves to be incorrect.

* Every vehicle has a physical limit to the amount of luggage it can carry. We allocate vehicles on the assumption that each passenger is travelling with 1 average size suitcase and 1 piece of hand luggage (aircraft cabin size). If you have over-size luggage or any EXTRA luggage please tell us. To save you unnecessary waiting when returning to the UK please also tell us if you are travelling with HAND LUGGAGE ONLY. It is the passengers responsibility to make sure the vehicle will be big enough for their needs - if in doubt please ask.

* The route taken will be decided by the driver and our control centre. Unscheduled requests will be accommodated only at our discretion and only provided this does not jeopardise this or subsequent transfers contracted for the vehicle. Unscheduled requests involving extra mileage, waiting time or pick-ups/drop-offs will attract a surcharge payable in advance.

All prices quoted are for payment in cash. Cash is accepted by the drivers at the time of travel for UK airport departures and intercity journeys. Advanced credit card payment is the preferred payment method for UK flight arrival transfers and long distance journeys unless cash payment has been agreed. There is a £5.00 handling charge for each credit card transaction up to £100.00, thereafter with a minimum charge of 5%. Credit card details can be either telephoned, faxed or emailed to us. All prices quoted are estimated and the final price will be stated at the end of each journey unless a fixed price has been agreed and paid for in advance. Please note our prices are per vehicle and not per person and include 45 minutes waiting time and car parking charge beginning from the scheduled flight arrival time, thereafter waiting time is charged at £25.00 per hour however flight arrival times are constantly monitored by us to keep waiting time to a minimum wherever possible. Prices quoted for UK arrival transfers are for meeting passengers from the same flight. Prices quoted for UK departures transfers are for dropping off passengers to one airport terminal building, collections from additional incoming flights and or terminals and extra drops to additional terminals will incur extra charges.

Additional car parking is charged at cost. The driver will wait for up to 60 minutes after the plane has landed (unless previously advised), in the arrivals hall by the airport information desk after which time he will page the passengers on the public address system and if no contact is made a no show will be assumed and the driver will leave the airport and no refund made. Passengers must therefore telephone us if they have not passed through immigration and customs and entered the arrivals hall within one and half hours of the flight landing . As we carry out a substantial number of transfers each day our pricing structure is based on passengers being ready to leave the airport within ten minutes of clearing customs as the driver will have other work to carry out afterwards. Admiral Cars cannot be held responsible for any delays or flight rescheduling caused by the airlines, airport authorities, or any other source. Please allow sufficient time to reach the airport for departure as we cannot be held responsible for any traffic congestion or delays caused by adverse weather conditions or for any other reason. Most airlines ask that you arrive at least two hours prior to departure. It is your responsibility to ensure that the luggage you arrive with or are taking will fit into a standard UK saloon car (sedan) or whatever size vehicle you have ordered as you may have to make alternative travel arrangements to or from the airport yourselves if you have too much luggage. Admiral Cars always endeavour to arrive on time when collecting clients but cannot be held responsible for any traffic congestion or delays caused by adverse weather conditions or any other reason. No compensation (apart from the transfer cost being refunded if already paid) will be paid if we cannot collect you for any reason, however we will endeavour to make alternative third party travel arrangements as soon as we have been informed of any problems, if you make your own alternative travel arrangements you will be responsible paying such bills that arise. Admiral Cars always try to give you the driver and type of vehicle requested but reserve the right to substitute either of these should the need arise for what ever reason. Admiral Cars operate a no smoking policy in all our vehicles.Admiral Cars reserve the right to charge 25% of the full price for all airport transfers and other journeys cancelled with less than 24 hours notice as we will have turned down alternative work to accommodate you. Our minimum charge includes travelling time and mileage to the pick up address. All taxes are included and gratuities are at the client's discretion. Admiral Cars reserve the right to use third parties to carry out work on our behalf should the need arise. Airport transfers and all other journeys on Xmas day and all bank holidays are subject to a 50%surcharge.
